Lué McWilliams is unique; known for her chameleon performances people have come to expect and enjoy for over two decades. Her professionalism and talents create a character people want to watch and listen to and people in the industry want to work with. A recent note from one of the writers who saw her perform his work, puts it in perspective.

Dear Lue: Thanks so much for reading Sally last night. She's a complex character with lots of range, and I thought you found and varied all her different components so beautifully. She was tender, warm, sexy, manipulative, scared, funny, motherly..... and you brought that to life! Lué has always been acting but eight years ago made the decision to pursue the craft full-time so she moved to New York, and became a member of the Emerging Artists Theatre Company and has performed in many of their plays at Intar, Center Stage and Mint Theatre. She has also performed in StagePlays productions as well as with the Pulse Ensemble Theatre, Hudson River Classics, New Media Rep as well as with Theatre for the New City. Directors of these companies have repeatedly asked her back as well as writers have requested her to perform their works. Lué has also been part of the Samuel French One-Act Play Festivals on a number of occasions. In March of 2004, she produced, staged her own one women show she wrote at Michael Howard Studios. This show now called OUFDA! premiered at the One Woman Standing Series. performance nights under the guidance of Polina Klimovitskaya.

Some of Lué’s favorite stage roles include Meg in Crimes of the Heart, Bananas in House of Blue Leaves, Rosalie in Landscape of the Body, Miss Mona in Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Mrs. MacAfee in Bye Bye Birdie, Phoebe in As You Like It, being part of the ensemble cast in To Be Young Gifted and Black and Spoon River Anthology.

Outside of the theatre, Lué can be seen in TV commercials (most recently for AT& T and Marriott) and print work, and has been a featured player in numerous New York-based soaps, TV Shows and films. Also, the production company, Step Lively Productions, headed by Cole Ferry (“I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change”), also produced Lué’s first musical short film, in which she stars and sings was seen in a number of film festivals across the country as well as 2 film festivals in New York City. Lué is a member of all three actors unions: SAG/AFTRA/AEA and is freelancing with different agents and managers.
